Lectures for a Better Future
When you say you’re a Visionary, you’re not really one, unless YOU ARE ONE.
What do I mean?
The pleasures that this world offers are so appealing to Human nature that you must be GOD like Jesus Christ to resist “THEM ALL”.
READ THIS:*For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.*
Imagine all the things, all the money, imagine all the pleasures, imagine all the GLORY that this world offers…. “Power”, “Sex”, “Cash”, “Cars”, “Houses”, “Travel”, “Party friends”, etc. Man that’s so appealing, and very often, whether we admit it or not, deep inside us there is a part of us who works so hard to have one of the things or feelings I listed.
Such is Human nature.
As I mentioned before every human who says He is a Visionary (my definition of it) must be God fearing (Spiritual not religious) because if you are not spiritual you do not have that ability to put aside for a second Greed and do something or take a decision Motivated by unselfish GOOD.
The simple proof of this is that we are constantly trying to HAVE more instead of being Focused on BEING BETTER. The truth is that working HARD to be better and be spiritual is in opposition to our HUMAN NATURE. Look at the Chinese monks, and the Sages from the East, look at Apostle Paul, or Jesus Christ in the Bible, this is what I got in my research:
Cobb invokes the teaching of Jesus that “man cannot serve both God and Mammon (wealth)”. He asserts that it is obvious that “Western society is organized in the service of wealth” and thus wealth has triumphed over God in the West. I add to this that even Africa and the East is not safe from this, especially now that everyone is constantly molded through the media and other influences to become a “WEST Person”. The system promotes nothing but INDIVIDUALISM.
Some will deny because they still want to be involved in wishful thinking, notice this, according to David Miller, Martin Luther viewed Mammon (or the desire for wealth) as “the most common idol on earth”.
Being Visionary is about seeing and living for the future right. It is about hoping, and acting for a better tomorrow right?
If therefore you cannot see a little bit further, a little bit above all the “pleasures” of this life, then how do you call yourself a Visionary?
Now this is not condemnation or judgment or a call to Poverty or Ascetics. What I am advocating here is a dedication to God, a dedication to Spirituality, a dedication to BEING rather than HAVING.
BECAUSE THE PROBLEM IS NOT THE MONEY, or the fame, or power, or all that. The problem is: THE LOVE OF MONEY!
I believe personally that Christianity is the best mode of life, that is the reason why I am obliged to quote the Bible and make reference to Jesus Christ. Nevertheless, I am no one to condemn anyone for her/his Spirituality.
Jesus Loves You.
Get Spiritual, Live with Values, Live with Principles, THAT’s IT, Live FURTHER than TODAY.
